Thaisa Way: Emerging Modernism in Landscape Architecture Women at Mid-Century
In Thaisa's presentation, she talked about how women played a crucial in modernism through the twentieth century. The presentation was very thoroughly research through interview and factual evidence of work overlooked during that time. She talks about women continuously working hard towards movement in modernism, and daring to try a different approach. The presentation's style in a verbal format of a timeline. The majority of the presentation consisted of her naming female architects and there work and year, and explaining how their approach was in some way innovative. In conclusion, I believed her presentation to be completely overwhelming, however, I assume that was the affect she intended on her audience; as a way to understand the density of her work and women in landscape architecture.
